tem and int files TEM-FAST 48HPC system

ASCII text tem files store data collected by the TEM-FAST 48 HPC system (www.aemr.net) and int files store inversion results.

tem and int files lack Profile field, and many users write station identifier as Profile-Station in the Station (#Set) field. The #Set field is analyzed while a tem file is being loaded to TDEM Geomodel. If a tem file contains hyphened pairs (with ‘-‘ symbol), the left part refers to Profile and the right one to Station.

TEM-FAST 48 HPC systems are mostly operated in a single-loop (coincident) configuration and, although transmitter-receiver configurations can be run as well, tem file format lack the field where to specify the offset. If necessary, it can be specified directly in the Sheet tab of TDEM Geomodel web app (fig.1).

TEM-FAST 48HPC systems commonly operate in the single-loop configuration using the same loop both on- and off-time. TDEM Geomodel web app presumes single-loop (coincident) configuration unless Rx and Ry separation (along and across line transmitter-receiver offsets, respectively) are specified.

Note that int files lack time scale because they are supposed to use the built-in TEM-FAST 48 HPC scale with first gate at 4 µs and 48 channels. Therefore, int files exported from TDEM Geomodel web app contain only inversion results for soundings collected with the TEM-FAST scale beginning at 4 µs, other soundings are exported as tem files.
